7. Maintenance
Thissectiondescribesthesimplemaintenanceproceduresyoushouldfollowtocleanthelters,thelens,thecabinet,
andtoreplacethelampandthelters.
❶ Cleaning the Filters
Theair-lterspongekeepsdustanddirtfromgettinginsidetheprojectorandshouldbefrequentlycleaned.Ifthelter
isdirtyorclogged,yourprojectormayoverheat.
WARNING
• Pleasedonotuseaspraycontainingammablegastoremovedustattachedtothelters,etc.Doingsomay
resultinres.
NOTE:Themessageforltercleaningwillbedisplayedforoneminuteaftertheprojectoristurnedonoroff.Whenthemessageis
displayed,cleanthelters.Thetimetocleantheltersissetto[5000H]attimeofshipment.
Tocancelthemessage,pressanybuttonontheprojectorcabinetortheremotecontrol.
Thetwo-layerlterontheprojectorimprovescoolinganddust-proofcapabilitiescomparedwiththeconventionalmodels.
Theoutsides(intakeside)oftherstandsecondlayerltersremovedust.
Tocleanthelter,detachthelterunitandtheltercover.
CAUTION
• Beforecleaningthelters,turnofftheprojector,disconnectthepowercordandthenallowthecabinettocool.
Failuretodosocanresultinelectricshockorburninjuries.
1. Push two buttons to release the lter unit and pull it out.

Thefollowing explanation useslters(ne-texture sponge andcoarse-
texturesponge)attachedtotheprojectoratthetimeofpurchaseasan
example.

2. Remove the lter cover.
The lter cover is xed at six separate mounting points.
Bow the lter cover by pushing the notch slightly until it releases.

3. Remove the four lters and use a vacuum cleaner to vacuum
all the dust inside.
Get rid of dust in the sponge lter.
NOTE:
• Whenever you vacuum the lter,use the soft brush attachment to
vacuum.Thisistoavoiddamagetothelter.
• Donotwashthelterwithwater.Doingsocanresultinlterclogging.
