Locate the serial number and register your product on the NETGEAR website for support.
Visit the support website for product updates and web support resources.
Get the user manual online from the download center or product interface.
Unplug modem power and remove battery backup if applicable before connecting.
Connect the modem to the router's Internet port using an Ethernet cable.
Power on the router and wait for the WiFi LED to light.
Connect a computer via Ethernet cable or wirelessly.
Launch a browser to access NETGEAR genie or www.routerlogin.net.
Ensure computer connection, router power, and WiFi LED are active.
Close and reopen the browser if the genie screen does not display.
Set computer to obtain IP address automatically from the router.
Record the default WiFi network name (SSID) and password for reference.
Log in to the router via www.routerlogin.net to retrieve or update password.
Press the WPS button on the router and then on the wireless device.
Select network name (SSID) and enter password using device's wireless settings.
Launch browser, go to www.routerlogin.net, enter admin/password.
Navigate to ADVANCED > Administration > Set Password to change.
Use www.routerlogin.net and enter saved answers after clicking Cancel.
Use Start > Run or browser address bar with \\readyshare.
Use Go > Connect to Server and enter smb://readyshare.
