Also, make sure you are using the correct login information: the username is 'admin' and the default password is 'password', both in lowercase.

      If the Internet LED is off and your NETGEAR Wireless Router is connected to the cable television cable, make sure that the coaxial cable connections are secure both at the router and the wall jack. Also, ensure that your cable service provider has provisioned your cable Internet service. Remove any excessive splitters on your cable line, or run a 'home run' back to where the cable enters your home.
