The
sewing
machine is a self-lubricated
machine.
All
oil has
been removed
from
the machine before shipment. Never fail
to
fill oil in the oil reservoir
when
using it
for
the first time
or
when
it is not used
for
a long period
of
time.
The proper procedure is
follows.
•
Remove
the plug screw
A,
and till
oil
until the indicator of
oil
gauge B reaches the upper line. Use mineral oil
of
22
to
32
est
at
40t.
Example:
Tellus oil #32.
• The contact surfaces
may
be dry. Oil them
by
hand.
Remove
the cloth plate

oil the
moving
parts. (Fig.4)

Run
the machine by hand
to
check that it turns smoothly.
Run
the machine
for
about
10
minutes
at
a
low
speed so
that the
oil
felts are sufficiently oiled.
Oil
the machine
again,
and then proceed to the normal operation.
•
You
can check
oil
splash through the
window
E
when
the
machine is
running.
• Check the oil level before starting the machine. Once
you oil, you need not
oil
again unless the oil level
falls
below
the lower line.

Replace
oil after every 2,000 hours of operation.
To drain
oil,
remove the plug screw C.
