INTRODUCTION
This troubleshooting guide is intended to assist a NEWPORT
authorized service technician to troubleshoot and repair the HT50
ventilator.
The troubleshooting instructions are separated into two sections:
• Mechanical and Pneumatic
• Electronic.
NOTE: Refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Operating
man
ual for more clinically oriented ventilator problems.
WARNING Hazardous voltages are present inside the
v
entilator. Disconnect electrical power and oxygen sources
before attempting any disassembly. Failure to do so could
result in injury to service personnel or equipment.
