Drying filter (HS1)

The filter is placed on the fluid line after the heat ex-
changer. The flow can go in both directions through the
filter, and the function is to absorb moisture in the refri-
gerant as well as to collect dirt.
Replacement must take place if any of the following
conditions are satisfied:

If the temperature difference before or after the filter
is greater than 5 K.
■
When the cooling system has been open for the third
time.
■
If a significant component has been replaced, e.g. a
compressor, heat exchanger or expansion valve.
■
If the refrigerant circuit has been open for an extended
period.
