      If the camera clock has not been set, the “Date not set” indicator blinks during shooting and movie recording. Pictures and movies recorded before the clock is set are dated “00/00/0000 00:00” or “01/01/2010 00:00” respectively. Set the correct time and date from the Date option in the setup menu.

      The monitor might be blank because the camera is off, the battery is exhausted, or the camera is in standby mode. If the flash lamp is blinking, wait until it has charged. Also, the monitor will be blank if the camera is connected to a computer via USB cable or to a TV via audio/video cable. When connecting to an electrical outlet using a Charging AC Adapter, the camera cannot be turned on.
