Image Size

Image Area
Although the D3 can record photographs with the same diagonal
picture angle as a 35mm format camera using a 3 : 2 aspect ratio, it
can also be used to record photographs with the smaller DX
picture angle or the 5 : 4 aspect ratio (pg. 60).
