Monitor off Delay
Custom Setting c4 (Monitor off delay) determines how long the monitor remains on when no op-
erations are performed. To prevent the monitor turning off during live view photography and movie
live view, select No limit for Custom Setting c4 (Monitor off delay) > Live view, but note that this will
increase the drain on the battery; use of an optional MB-D12 battery pack (D800/D800E only) or AC
adapter and power connector is recommended.
ACUSTOM SETTING MENU> c Timers/AE lock> c4 Monitor off delay
Select Custom Setting c4 (Monitor off delay).
Press G to display the menus,
then highlight c4 Monitor off de-
lay in the Custom Settings menu
and press 2.

Choose an item.
Highlight the desired item and
press 2. You can choose diff erent
delays for playback, menus, the in-
formation display, image review,
and live view.
Select a monitor off delay.
Highlight the desired option and
press J.
