Checking Focus
During live view, you can zoom in on the view through the lens for precise focus. You can use the
X and W buttons to zoom in and out or assign zoom to the center of the multi selector to quickly
zoom in to a preset magnifi cation.

To check focus using the X and W buttons:
Focus.
Start movie live view and focus.
Press X.
Press the X button to zoom in on
the view through the lens in the
monitor. While the view through
the lens is zoomed in, a navigation
window is displayed in the lower
right corner of the monitor. Zoom
can be adjusted using the X and
W buttons.

Quick zoom can be assigned to the center of the multi selector.
Select Multi selector center button.
Press G to display the menus,
then highlight f2 Multi selector
center button (D800/D800E) or
f1 Multi selector center button
(D4) in the Custom Settings menu
and press 2.
