■ Copying Pictures
Connect the camera using the supplied cable and use Nikon Transfer 2 to copy photographs and
movies to the computer as described below.
The USB Cable Clip
To prevent cable from being discon-
nected, attach the clip as shown.
Turn the camera off .
Turn the computer on.
Turn the computer on and wait for it to start up.
Connect the USB cable.
Connect the USB cable as shown.
USB Hubs
Connect the camera directly to
the computer; do not connect
the cable via a USB hub or key-
board.
Turn the camera on.
Start Nikon Transfer 2.
If a message is displayed prompting you to choose a program, select Nikon Transfer 2.
Windows 7
If the dialog shown at right is displayed, select Nikon Transfer 2
as described below.
1 Under Import pictures and videos, click Change pro-
gram. A program selection dialog will be displayed; se-
lect Import fi le using Nikon Transfer 2 and click OK.
2 Double-click Import fi le.
Click Start Transfer.
At default settings, all the pictures
on the memory card will be copied
to the computer (for more infor-
mation on using Nikon Transfer 2,
start ViewNX 2 or Nikon Transfer 2
and select ViewNX 2 Help from the
Help menu).
Click Start
