FLASH
SYNCHRONIZATION
The
Nikon BC-5 Flosh
Unit
is mounted
on
the
occessory shoe of
the
Nikon
F Photomic-T
by meons
of o coupler.
Instontoneous connection
is mode
with
the
flosh
terminol locoted
on
the
coupler
(Fig.
35),
eliminoting the
need
for
o
conneciing
cord.
On the front-left
edge
of
the comero
there
is o
synchronizotion
terminol
(Fig.
36) which
occepts
o regulor flosh
unit
(Nikon
BC-6
with the coupler
is
recommended)
or
on
electronic flosh,
provided
with
the Europeon
stondord
flosh
cord
or the
snop-in Nikon flosh
cords.
For positive
synchronizotion,
set the synch-selector occording to the
flosh
bulb
ond
shutter
speed
used.
(See
the toble
on
the
opposite
poge). To do
this,
remove
the Photomic-T
Finder
from
the top
of
the comero ond lifting
up
the
milled
selector ring
on the
outer
edge of
the
shutter speed
diol
(Fig.
37), turn it
until
the
desired colored
dot ond/or figure oppeors in the
selec-
tor
window
(Fig.
37)
odiocent
to the diol; then
drop
the ring into
ploce.
By
counter-clockwise
rolotion
of
the
seleclor
ring
the
morkings
come into
view
in
the following
sequence
