The
use of
o lens hood is recommended
of oll
times,
even
when the
lens
is
not
turned
towqrd
the light,
or
where
there is
no
stroy
light present.

types
of
lens hoods

Nikkor
lenses
(snop-on

screw-in).
Snop-oh
lens
hood
Snop-on
lens hoods
combine
" Slip-on "
speed
ond
" Screw-in
"
secu
rity.
By
depressing the
button
(one
locoted
on
either
side
of the
hood-Fig.
4ll,
the
hood
is
ottoched
or
detoched.
The hood
will
olso
fit
directly
over
o
screw-in
filter,
permitting
use of
both
units
with
the
lens
of
one
time. The
hood
con olso be
" stored
"
in
reverse position
on
the
fens
(Fig.
42l..
Screw-in
lens
hood
Screw-in hoods
con be
used
with
screw-in
filters
or
Series
filters.
How-
ever, the
screw-in
filter
is recommended
since
the hood,
in
combinotion
with the
Series filter,
moy not
olwoys
give
sotisfoctory
resutts
with wide
ongle
lenses
becouse
of
possible
vignetting.
