10.3. Troubleshooting
The causes of typical failures of the “FF/FM503H” and the remedies to them are described below.
Screws are stuck at the kickplate.
Screws or foreign materials are stuck between the hopper track and basket.
There is no gap between hopper track and basket, between hopper track and
partition plate, or between hopper track and track.
Hopper track driving belt is cut off.
The connecting pin that connects pulley and rotational axis is damaged.
PCB(FF/FM503H-MAIN-R) is faulty.
Hopper track driving motor is faulty, or connection is faulty in between.
Position of the screw detecting photoelectric sensor on the track is deviated.
Different screws are mixed.
Screws are dirty.
Screws are magnetized.
There are too many screws in the basket.
The height of the screw-presser plate is improper.
The surfaces of the hopper track and the track on which screws flow is dirty.
Vibrating part and non-vibrating part contact each other.
The gap between the vibrator electromagnet and the trough pedestal is
improper.
Vibrator electromagnet is faulty, or connection is faulty in between.
The screws for fixing vibrator flat spring are loose.
Vibrator vibration frequency and vibrator vibration strength settings are improper.
Screws are stuck at the escapement unit.
Air hose is bent.
Air pressure is too low.
Screw feeding signal is not input.
Screw feeding solenoid valve is faulty, or connection is faulty between.
Supply screws in the basket.
Screw detecting photoelectric sensor is faulty.
Track is vibrating
properly.
Track does not
vibrate or the
vibration is not
strong enough.
Hopper track
driving motor
sound is heard.
Hopper track
driving motor
sound is not
heard.
Screws do not
flow from hopper
track to track.
Screw feeding
solenoid valve is
operating.
Screw feeding
solenoid valve is
not operating.
Escapement unit
is not operating.
Escapement unit
starts if screw
feeding signal is
input.
Screws are
aligned on the
track.
Hopper track is
not swaying even
when there is no
screw on the
track.
There are
screws in the
basket.
There are no
screws in the
basket.
Screws are
not
supplied.
Items to be checked first
Check if the use environment is correct.
Check if the power supply voltage is within a correct range,
and the ground is connected.
Check if the air pressure supply is within a correct range.
Check if the POWER LED on the Setup panel
(Power ON indication) is lit.
Check if the LED on the Setup panel indicates “Normal
running” status.
(LED1-3:Unlit,LED4:Flash(On and off each for 0.1 sec))
Troubleshooting
Screws do not
flow from the track
to the
escapement unit.
Physical relationship between the track and the escapement unit is improper.
Vibrator vibration frequency and vibrator vibration strength settings are improper.
PCB(FF/FM503H-MAIN-R) is faulty.
