Why does the NordicTrack C 1500 Treadmill incline not change correctly?
    • J
      Jacob AndersonAug 5, 2025
If the incline of your NordicTrack Treadmill does not change correctly, you can recalibrate the incline system. To do this, hold down the Stop button and the Speed increase button, insert the key into the console, and then release the Stop button and the Speed increase button. Next, press the Stop button and then press the Incline increase or decrease button. The treadmill will automatically rise to the maximum incline level and then return to the minimum level. If the treadmill does not begin calibrating, press the Stop button again, and then press the Incline increase or decrease button again. Why does the NordicTrack C 1500 walking belt slow down when I walk on it?
    • C
      Christina SimmonsAug 16, 2025
If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill slows down when you walk on it, it could be overtightened. This can decrease performance and potentially damage the belt. To resolve this: 1. Remove the key and unplug the power cord. 2. Use the hex key to turn both idler roller screws counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn. 3. Ensure you can lift each edge of the belt 2 to 3 inches off the platform when properly tightened, keeping the belt centered. 4. Plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the belt is properly tightened. If the issue persists, see the front cover of this manual.

If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill is off-center or slips when walked on, use the hex key to adjust the belt. If the belt has shifted to the left, turn the left idler roller screw clockwise 1/2 of a turn. If it has shifted to the right, turn the left idler roller screw counterclockwise 1/2 of a turn. Be careful not to overtighten the belt. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and run the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the belt is centered.
