25B 4:1 Hydraulic Section Repair

Introduction
This section contains procedures for the 2:1 and 4:1 hydraulic section repair.
NOTE: Item numbers in illustrations match the item numbers in 25B 4:1 Hydraulic
Section Repair. Lettered parts are parts of the air motor, or assemblies not called out in
parts lists, or included only in optional kits.
Tools and Materials Required
The following tools and materials are needed to repair the hydraulic section:
• small and large adjustable wrenches
• rubber and brass mallets
• long steel punch
• English hex wrench set
• retaining ring pliers
• torque wrench
• large, clean work surface resistant to solvents
•
• O-ring lubricant (Parker O-Lube or equivalent) (Nordson part 1612251)
• pipe thread adhesive/sealant (Nordson part 900481)
• replacement parts and kits (refer to 25B 4:1 Hydraulic Section Repair)
Preparation
Dismounting the Pump
1. Flush the pump with a compatible cleaning solution. Refer to Flushing in Operation
and Maintenance.
2. Run the pump with very low air pressure. Remove the siphon rod from the cleaning
away.
3. Perform steps 2 through 4 under Air Valve Removal in 25B Air Valve and Air Motor
