Troubleshooting
WARNING:  Allow only qualied personnel to perform the following tasks. Follow the
safety instructions in this document and all other related documentation.
These troubleshooting procedures cover only the most common problems. If you
cannot solve a problem with the information given here, contact your local Nordson
representative for help.
Backup Battery
WARNING:  When the backup battery is installed in a Class I, Division 2 Groups A B C D
or Class I Zone 2 II C hazardous location, adhere to the following:
• Explosion Hazard - Do not disconnect the equipment while the circuit is live or unless
the area is known to be free of ignitable concentrations.
• Explosion Hazard - Do not connect or disconnect the battery unless the area is
known to be free of ignitable concentrations.
• Explosion Hazard - Do not open the unit. Do not substitute components. Do not
replace fuse.
Problem Possible Cause Corrective Action
1. Backup battery
nonresponsive (No
alarm and no light)
Backup battery is
powered o󰀨
Press ON/OFF button for two seconds.
Battery is defective Replace the battery.
Backup battery fault Contact technical support.
2. The Backup battery
is always on battery
mode
Input may not be
properly connected
Check the input connection.
Input fuse is open
Before reconnecting equipment, verify that the load matches the
backup battery capability specied and output has short circuit
protection. Contact technical support.
3. Actual backup time
cannot be achieved
Battery voltage is too low Charge the battery at least eight hours.
Overload
Remove some unnecessary loads. Before reconnecting
equipment, verify that the load matches the backup battery
capability specied in specication.
Battery defect Replace the battery.
Backup battery fault or
charger failure
Contact technical support.
4. Fault code
displayed
Overload
Remove some unnecessary loads. Before reconnecting
equipment, verify that the load matches the backup battery
capability specied in specication.
Backup battery short
