6. Working position

The correct working position is achieved when the mowing head is advanced to its maximum, ie

perpendicular to the tractor.

All congurations in which the arm is behind the position perpendicular to the tractor, causing the

mowing head to work off-line, are detrimental to the service life of the machine.(Figure 2.18)

The position of the frame must be at 90 degrees to the ground (Figure 2.19), in order for the tool

guarding to work satisfactorily.

Note : See the operator’s manual for your tool for information concerning :

- forward cutting speed;

- vibrations;

- height of cut from the ground and high reach cutting.

Match the operation of your machine to the nature

of the ground to work correctly and safely.
