Universal Analog Voice Module with Interface Modules
T1/E1 and Digital Voice Modules
T1/E1 digital voice and data is supported on the Passport 4400 through the use
of the modules and components described below:
• T1 Voice Module (TVM) - provides a T1 interface to a PBX. Up to six
Digital Voice Modules plug into this module.
• E1 Voice Module (EVM)- provides an E1 interface to a PBX. Up to six
Digital Voice Modules plug into this module.
• Digital Voice Expansion Module (DVEM) - provides slots to support
additional DVMs.
• Digital Voice Module (DVM) - is a SIMM module that is plugged directly
into the TVM, EVM or DVEM.
T1 Voice Module (TVM)
The T1 Voice Module provides a user interface to one or two 1.544 Mbps T1 lines.
It can support a maximum of 24 Digital Voice Modules (six on the module, the
rest on the Digital Voice Expansion Modules).
