5. Remove the plastic backing plate.
Screw in any Teknatool insert in the chuck thread. Engage the thread partially and tap on the back of insert
with a mallet. You will see that the backing plate starts to come off. Remove the backing plate
6. Remove two pinion gears.
7. Remove the scroll ring.
- By securely holding the chuck, jaw slides with one hand and anticipates the scroll ring will come off
with another hand, flip the chuck over so that the chuck is facing upwards. This action will naturally
make the scroll ring to drop onto your hand. Note: If the scroll ring is jammed inside, you would then
have to use a flat head screw driver to push the scroll ring down.
