4. Installation of the pinion gears.
- Slide both pinion gears into the holes on the side of the chuck and ensure if it is engaging properly.
Note: if the gear couldn’t be inserted into place, then redo installation step 3 – installing the scroll ring.
- Before carrying on further to the next step, the jaw slides should be visually inspected for the equal
distance between them. Properly installed jaw slides will show square shaped hole in the middle of the
chuck. Note: if the distance between the jaw slides are out of balance significantly, then redo step 2 –
installing the jaw slides.
