12.3 Changing a valve
Changing a valve
To extract a valve, disconnect the electrical wire, and replace the valve with a new one.
When the new valve is in place, put on carefully the Alu-cover. Be sure not to get the
electrical cables jammed and pinched between the Alu-cover and the Peek-manifold.
Finally tighten the two screws. Place the Valve manifold in the priming position, and
check if the new valves are working well.
Operators are trained in the laboratory in Copenhagen. Ph.D. Karl Ross-Petersen or
M.Sc. Jakob Ross-Petersen will conduct the chemistry education. Ing. Quang Han will
conduct the electronic issues. Ing. Quang Han conducts questions related to the
mechanics.
The reagent bottles must be opened under a ventilated hood or similar. Power must be
switched off, while the instrument is opened during service.
