This feature is for locking the focus easily. Register the AF lock function to the
x button. g“Custom button” (P.119)
1 Position the AF target mark on the subject you want to focus
on and press the x button.
• The focus is locked and the AF lock mark is displayed.
• To reset AF lock, press the x button again to cancel AF lock. Each
time you press the x button, AF lock is alternately engaged and
canceled.
2 Press the shutter button fully.
Note
• When taking close-ups at less than 80 cm (2.6 ft.), the AF illuminator lights but
the subject may not be in focus.
