Formatting the Card (FORMAT)

Press the MENU button.
The menu appears (☞ P.31).

Press the FF or REW button until
“FORMAT” in SUB MENU flashes on
the display.

Press the MENU button to select
“FORMAT”.
The formatting process is selected.

Press the FF or REW button to
highlight the “START” option.

Press the MENU button to confirm
“START” selection.
“DATA WILL BE CLEARED” appears for
approximately 2 seconds.
Cards that have been used on non-Olympus devices, or cards that are not recognized by the
recorder, must be formatted before they can be used with the recorder. The Olympus xD-Picture
Card included with the recorder is preformatted and ready for use.
