Formatting begins and “FORMAT!” flashes
on the display.
“FORMAT DONE” displays when formatting

Notes
• The time required to format cards differs depending on the capacity of
cards. For example, formatting may take about 1 minute for 512 MB
card. Do not interrupt the formatting process by opening the card cover
or the battery cover. Doing so will damage the data or card.
• When the recorder is formatted, all the stored data, including locked
files, are erased.
• If an unformatted card is inserted, the recorder automatically displays
the format option in the menu.
