Set the mode diat Set the power switch to
to AUTO. ON.
To turn off the power,
set the power switch to
OFF.

Monitor
When the camera is turned on, the control
panel screen is displayed on the monitor.

If the control panel screen does not appear,
press the INFO button.
Battery check
When the camera is turned on or when remaining battery power is low, the
battery check mark varies.
Lights (green) Lights "I (red) "BATTERY EMPTY"
Remainingpowerlevel: Remainingpowerlevel: is displayed.
High*2 Low.*3 Remainingpowerlevel:
Exhausted.
"1 Blinks in the viewfinder.
*2 Your digital camera's power consumption varies greatly depending on
usage and operating conditions. Under some operating conditions, the
camera may turn off without warning when the battery power is low.
*3 BLM-1 Li-ion battery: Charge the battery.
CR123A lithium batteries: Have some new batteries ready.
Dust reduction function operation
The dust reduction function is automatically activated when the camera is
turned on. Ultrasonic vibrations are used to remove dust and dirt from the
CCD surface. The SSWF (Super Sonic Wave Filter) indicator blinks while dust
reduction is working.
