2 Remove the protective cap from the extremity of the light guide cable and insert the
cable all the way until it clicks into the light guide terminal of this instrument.

NOTE
• If the protective cap is not removed from the extremity of the light guide cable, the
cable cannot be connected to the LED light source.
• Be sure to retain the protective cap. It will be reused to protect the extremity of the
light guide cable when you shall send this instrument for repair and you detach this
instrument from the surgical microscope.
3 Insert the communication cable into the communication terminal of this instrument so
that the “ ” marking comes on the near side and push in all the way until it clicks.
