Basic operation
(Turning the camera on in playback mode
With the camera off, press the q button.
• The camera turns on in playback mode. The last picture taken is displayed on the
monitor.
To turn the camera off
jPress the o n button. The monitor turns off.
To switch to shooting mode
jPress the m button. The lens extends, and shooting mode is enabled.
Press the q button to return to playback mode. The lens remains extended.
Note
• When the power is turned on, sometimes the monitor flashes before displaying
the picture. This is not a malfunction.
TIPS
• The screen on the right is displayed when the
date and time setting has returned to the factory
default setting. Setting the date and time makes
your pictures easier to manage, such as when
you view them with calendar display.
