Why is the AC/LB light OFF or showing AC LOSS on my Omni OMNI-624 keypad?
    • M
      Michael RobinsonAug 2, 2025
The AC/LB light might be off, or the LCD keypad may display 'AC LOSS' because of primary AC power outage. Check the transformer connection and AC input voltage. Alternatively, the keypad itself may be faulty, requiring replacement.

What to do if my Omni OMNI-624 keypad display is not lit?
    • J
      Julie AdamsAug 7, 2025
If your keypad display is not lit, it could be due to a loss of both AC and DC power. Check the transformer and battery connections, and verify the AC input and battery voltage with the transformer disconnected. Another possibility is that the keypad is not receiving power. Check terminals 23 (+) and 20 (-) for 12VDC.

Why is the ARM light blinking or showing COMM FAILURE on my Omni OMNI-624?
    • F
      felicia65Aug 11, 2025
The ARM light may be blinking, or the LCD keypad might display 'COMM FAILURE' due to a failure to communicate with the central station. This could be because the telephone lines are cut or disconnected, or the central station information is misprogrammed. Another cause could be a faulty panel/dialer, which would require replacing the panel. Finally, the telephone lines themselves could be faulty, in which case you should consult your local telephone company.

What to do if the AC/LB light is blinking or showing LOW BAT on my Omni Security System?
    • J
      Joshua WalkerAug 17, 2025
If the AC/LB light is slowly blinking, or the LCD keypad displays 'LOW BAT', it could be due to DC power outage. Check the battery connections and the battery voltage with the transformer disconnected. It could also be due to low battery voltage (less than 11VDC). In this case, let the battery charge or replace it.

Why is the siren/speaker not working on my Omni Security System?
    • G
      Gregory DavisAug 21, 2025
If the siren/speaker does not sound, the cause may be a faulty siren/speaker. Connect 12VDC to the siren/speaker; if no sound is produced, replace the siren/speaker. Another possibility is faulty wiring; check the wiring for an open or short circuit and replace the wiring if necessary. Lastly, there may be a faulty panel/bell output. Check terminals 3 (+) and 4 (-) for 12VDC when the panel is in alarm (if programmed for bell output). If no voltage is measured, replace the panel.

How to fix ZONE light ON and READY light OFF or NOT READY on Omni OMNI-624?
    • D
      David Murphy DVMAug 26, 2025
If the ZONE light is ON and the READY light is OFF, or the LCD keypad displays 'NOT READY', it indicates that a zone is faulted, and the system is not ready. Check the loop wiring for an open or short and repair it. Also, check the EOL resistor for an open or wrong value. Another possibility is a faulty keypad, which would require replacement. Finally, the panel itself may be faulty. Check the zone terminal voltage for 3.3VDC, bypass the zone temporarily, and if the problem persists, replace the panel.
