Omnilux clear-U has been developed from
its older sibling, Omnilux blue and Omnilux
revive. Dermatologists all over the world have
been using Omnilux for more than 4 years to
successfully treat acne.
The Omnilux clear-U is intended to be used for
the treatment of mild to moderate acne. (See the
‘Indications for Use’ section for more information
about mild to moderate acne).

To help you get started, we have put together
some of the frequently asked questions about
light therapy and acne. However, the entire user
guide must be read before operating the unit.
What is acne?
Acne is NOT caused by bad diet or greasy foods.
In fact, acne develops when the sebaceous glands
in a person’s skin produces excess oil (sebum). This
oil combines with cells that line the gland walls
and clogs the skin’s pores. Normal skin bacteria
colonise these pores and the body’s response
causes the inflammation or reddening of the skin
that we associate with acne.
How does it work?
It’s really simple. Researchers have discovered that
something as simple as light holds the key to clearing
up problem skin. When your skin is flooded with
blue and red light, the bacteria self destructs and
inflammation is decreased. Your acne fades and your
skin heals.
