at
the

if

ditions
require
it.

BATTERIES.- Check
the
charge
condition
of
the
batteries
fr,equently,
to
be
'sure
.,thatthey:
,are
j{eptin
a

charged
condition.
A
discharg,ed
battery
will
freeze
at
approximately
20°F.
(-70C')dand
be
permanently'
damaged. A
fully
charged
battery
will
not
freeze
at
-900F.
(-67°C.).
Run
'the.
plant
for
at
least
20
minutes
after
adding
water,
to
assure
mixing
the
water
with
the
electrolyte.
HIGH
TEMPERATURES
If
the
plant
is
to
be
opera,ted
in
abnormally
high
temperatures,(abov;e

100°F.,
or
38°e.),
provide
sUfficient
air
circulation
for
proper
cooling.
Keep
the
cooling
system
clean
and
free
of
rust
and
scale.

that
the,
high
water
temperature
cut-off
switch
is
correctly
set,
and
that
the
ignition,
switch
is
at

ELECT.
START
position.
Keep
the
ignition
timed
correctly.
Keep
thera.diator

fan
belt

adjusted,
and
the
crankcase
oil

at
