■ Removing the Speaker Grilles
You can use the speakers either with or without their grilles,
which can be removed as follows.
■ Using the Supplied Cork Spacers
Make sure to use the supplied cork spacers for stable bases and
better-quality sound. The cork spacers also protect the bottom of
the speaker from migrations of a plasticizer.
Attach the cork spacers to the four corners of the bottom of the
speaker.
Note
Please note that the speaker is so heavy and it requires careful
attention.
■ Using the Supplied Sound Absorbing Pad
If the speaker is placed at the corner of the room or near the wall,
you may find that the bass sound is too loud. In this case, insert
the supplied sound absorbing pad into the bass reflex duct on the
back of the speaker to adjust the sound level.
■ Using the Supplied Spike
Attach the supplied spikes into the screw holes (four) on the
bottom of the speaker, and attach the cork spacers to the bottom
surfaces of the spikes.
Note
・If you attach the spikes to the other places than the four screw
holes on the bottom of the speaker, mount the speaker to the
wall, etc. first using commercially available cup hooks and
make sure that there is no problem with a fitting condition, etc.
Otherwise, the speaker may fall to an unexpected direction.
・Please note that moving the speaker with the spikes attached
can damage the flooring.
■ Placement
Place the speaker on the firm floor with less vibration.
To prevent the speaker from falling, mount the speaker on the
wall, etc. as follows: Insert a cup hook that is about 4 mm in
diameter and 15 mm long into two holes (right and left) on the
back of the speaker, and put a durable cord through the attached
cup hook. Using this durable cord you can mount the speaker on
the wall, etc.
■ Precaution on Placement
・This speaker is not compatible with television sets with
Braun tubes.
・Magnets are used for this speaker. Please move the speaker
apart from the magnetizing objects such as television sets with
Braun tubes, watches, cash cards, and floppy discs.
