Using the remote controller
Controlling an Onkyo CD player
CD operation
buttons
The z connector of the Onkyo compact disc player must be
connected to the HT-R500 (refer to page 16).
1. Press CD.
2. Press to turn on the Onkyo compact disc
player.
3. Press the desired operation button.
s : Starts playback of CD.
e : Stops playback, fast forward or fast reverse.
f : Fast forwards the CD.
d : Fast reverses the CD.
2/8 : Lets playback pause temporarily.
w : Skips to the beginning of the next track.
q : Skips to the beginning of the current or previous
track.
DISC : This button is valid when the CD changer is used
and selects the disc to be played.
19, +10, 0 :
Use to enter numeric values.
Controlling an Onkyo cassette tape deck
The z connector of the Onkyo cassette tape deck must be
connected to the HT-R500 (refer to page 16).
1. Press RCVR/TAPE.
2. Press the desired operation button.
s : Plays side A (the side facing the front) of tape.
e : Stops playback, recording, fast forward or
rewinding.
f : Fast forwards the tape.
d : Rewinds the tape.
2/8 : Plays side B (the side facing the rear) of the tape.
