Playing an MD
Normal play
1. Press the STANDBY/ON button (or the POWER button on the
remote controller).
The STANDBY indicator will go out.
2. Insert an MD.
The MD recorder reads TOC (Table Of Contents) information on
the MD to display the total number of tracks and total playing time.
• When an MD recorded with a disc name (title) is inserted, the disc
name is displayed. If the disc name is too long and you cannot view
the entire name, press the SCROLL button on your remote
controller to shift the display. When a premastered disc is inserted,
each track number is displayed in a box (for example, 1, 2 ).
3. Press the s PLAY button (or the s button on the remote
controller).
The first track of the disc starts playing.
Note:
If the record-protect tab is open while playing a recordable MD, the
display may show "Protected". You can ignore this message because it
does not affect the playing of tracks.
Stopping play
Press the e STOP button (or the e button on the remote
controller).
Stopping play temporarily
Press the g PAUSE button (or the g button on the remote
controller).
To resume play, press the s PLAY button.
