6) LIFTING AND LAUCHING THE TENDER
ã Lifting the tender
The tender should be fitted with lifting ropes of a suitable length,
preferably in stainless steel cable, with shackles for attaching to
the tender and safety hooks at the other end.
n The tender must be brought under the stern, beneath the
extended gangway. Attach the lifting cables to the lugs on the
front of gangway.
n Give power to the gangway, extend it and lower it slightly until
the lifting cables can be hooked up.
n Before starting, always remember to check that lifting ropes
are in good condition and that shackles and hooks open and
close correctly.
n Fix two mooring ropes to the bows and stern of the tender.
n Get out of the tender and hold it in position with the mooring
ropes.
n The gangway can now be raised, acting as a davit.
When the gangway is lifted above the horizontal, assist this
movement by retracting the gangway.
n Secure the tender and the mooring ropes.
When sailing in bad weather the tender should be secured
more firmly with safety straps.
If the shape of the stern permits, the gangway can be lowered
to postion the tender on the afterdeck (if this strong enough
and is equipped with suitable accessories), reducing the load
supported by the gangway.
6) MANOVRE DI ALAGGIO E VARO DEL TENDER
ã Alaggio del tender
Per effettuare l’alaggio del tender è necessario dotare il tender di
rizze di sollevamento di lunghezza calibrata, il cavo dovrà essere il
acciaio inox piombato alla lunghezza corretta, con maniglioni di
collegamento al tender e con ganci di sicurezza all’altra estremità
delle rizze.
n Il tender deve esser posizionato a poppa, sotto la passerella
estesa, e le rizze di sollevamento devono essere collegate agli
occhielli presenti sulla parte frontale della passerella
n Alimentare la passerella, estenderla, ed abbassarla quel tanto
che basta ad agganciare le rizze di sollevamento
n Controllate ogni volta il buono stato delle rizze e la corretta
chiusura di maniglioni e ganci.
n Collegate alla prua ed alla poppa del tender due cime di
ormeggio.
n Sbarcate dal tender e mantenete il tender in posizione con le
cime.
n Successivamente la passerella può esser sollevata, agendo
così da gruetta. Continuando a sollevare la passerella
oltre il livello orizzontale, sarà possibile far rientrare l’elemento
telescopico della passerella
n Fissate il tutto con le cime di ormeggio. In caso di navigazione
con maltempo è opportuno assicurare ulteriormente il tender
con delle fasce di sicurezza. Se la conformazione della poppa
lo consente, potete abbassare la passerella poggiando il
tender sulla plancetta di poppa (se la struttura è in grado di
reggerlo ed è attrezzata allo scopo), in modo da scaricare la
passerella di parte del peso addizionale.
