Heat and Comfort
23
The connection chart for the two valves is identical.
Operating Principle: a sensor in the ½” catchment located in the upper part of the
boiler takes boiler water temperature measurements; whenever the water temperature in
the boiler grows to 95°C (TS 130) or 97°C (STS 20), the fixture starts to automatically
open and supply water into the in-built safety exchanger in order to remove the heat and
prevent the boiler from overheating. After the water in the boiler cools down, the fixture
starts to automatically close down up to the point of completely halting the supply of
cold water into the exchanger. That procedure may be repeated several times depending
on the amount of fuel in the charging shaft and/or the length of time of reduced heat off-
take by the heating system.
Warning:
- the assembly and connection must be done as shown in the figure in page 18 and as
instructed by the manufacturer;
- the discharging safety valve must at all times be connected to the water supply point
of the cooling loop so as to prevent the cooling loop from being exposed to constant
pressure applied by the utility water;
- other connections of the cooling loop are not recommended see the boiler
connection diagram;
- in the event the recommended connection of the cooling loop to the boiler as detailed
in the operating manual is not complied with, the cooling loop may be over pressurised
and therefore cease to be tight; a cooling loop damaged in such a way is outside the
scope of warranty conditions;
- in order to ensure proper function of the valve, the valve must be connected to a
permanent source of cooling water at a pressure of at least 1 bar (preferably, a public
water supply line) at a temperature of approx. 15°C;
- check the valve for proper function at least once a year;
- in the event of any lack of clarity insofar as the connection of the cooling loop is
concerned, contact the manufacturer’s service engineer at the following telephone
numbers: 571 675252 or 602 743970
