      If the OPTI-UPS UPS does not power up and has no audible alarm, try the following: * Ensure the On/Off button is pressed long enough until the UPS turns on. * Check the wall socket and test the input line voltage, as there may be no incoming line or very low or very high line voltage. * Plug in the input power cord if it is not plugged in. * Reduce the load and reset the circuit breaker if the rear panel circuit breaker is tripped.

      If the Low Replace Battery LED is lit on your OPTI-UPS UPS, recharge the battery for more than 4 hours and reset the UPS. If the LED is still lit, replace the battery, as the battery voltage may be too low, or the battery may be dead.

      If the OPTI-UPS UPS software communication is not working, purchase the correct interface cable from your distributor if the wrong cable is being used. Also check to see that the serial port is enabled in the CMOS settings. Also check for IRQ conflicts and make sure the settings match those of OPTI- SAFE™+. If the I/O card is defective, replace it.
