4.6 Drill geometry
The drilling with the spiral drill or hard metal drill is roughing with the front side of a
doubleedged tool therefore only little requirements in form accuracy and dimension of stability
of the drill and in the surface quality are available. It is possible to attain a higher surface quality
by subsequent rubbing.
