"HI" Result
What It Means:
Your monitor has determined
that your blood glucose result
is higher than 27.8 mmol/L
(500 mg/dL) or there may
be a problem with
the electrode.
What to Do:
Monitor your blood glucose
again with a new electrode.
If
HI shows on the display
window again, contact your
healthcare professional
immediately.
If you check your ketones
as part of your diabetes
management program, it
is recommended that you
check your blood ß-Ketone.
