Winterizing your baeries/ long periods of storage
We have spec’d the Opus so you have the ability to leave your Opus plugged in without the need to remove the 30ah cable. We
have done this because the CO Alarm is hard wired to your baeries and therefore your baeries will supply a constant current to
this appliance. In order to prevent your baeries from being completely depleted over long periods of storage
1. Completely charge the baery before storage
2. Store the baery in a cool, dry locaon. Heat is a baery killer. Do not forget to completely remove all loads from the
baery (turn o your baery disconnect or remove the connecon to your baery post).
3. Monitor the specic gravity or voltage. Once below 70% charge, give it a boost charge.
4. Completely recharge the baery before pung back in service. 5. Equalize the baery before pung back in service.
Following the above would mean that you need to disconnect the baeries enrely from your system, this would result in the Air
Compressor not operang aer winter storage; you would therefore need to manually inate the tent for your rst use.
Our advice for simplicity of use would be to leave the camper plugged in, NOCO adverses that this is acceptable pracce. If you
want to be defensive over the longevity of your baeries then please remove them enrely from your Opus and store safely, then
inate the tent using the manual pump supplied for rst use.
