120 VOLT & 12 VOLT POWER
120 Volt Shore Power Connecon
Safe operang procedures
The OP15 comes ed with a 120 volt power system. This 120 Volt power system complies
with NFPA and NEC regulaons. The hookup for the 120v is located outside on the driver-side
of the OP15. The main circuit breaker panel is located inside the OP15 in the footwell under
the master bed. Always ensure you have a clear access to the circuit breaker panel and that it
is not blocked at any me. There are 2 internal dual 3-pin 120v outlets with USB sockets and
one exterior dual 120v outlet.
The exterior shore power hookup is located on the driver's side at the front of the OP15 and
your OP15 comes supplied with a 30ah shore power cable and pigtail connecon for both
campsite and home outlet connecon. Take care to ensure proper maintenance of the power
cord and pigtail accessory items. Always use a Listed and approved 20ah cable and adapter and
a grounded power source. Never use an extension cord. DANGER! Due to potenal danger in
failing to heed this warning, the recreaonal vehicle manufacturer cannot be held responsible
should damage, injury or death result from failure to connect the power cord to a properly
grounded power source.
Invertor informaon
Your OP15 has a 12v to 120v changeover switch and invertor installed located in a
compartment under the master bed, accessed by liing the maress and removable panel. If
you are not connected to a 30amp shore power connecon the invertor will AUTOMATICALLY begin converng 12v current from
your baeries to 120v to supply any connected appliances connected to the 120v outlets. To reserve your 12v baery power we
recommend unplugging all 120v appliances if you are not connected to the 30amp shore power hook up. These power hungry
appliances will deplete your baeries very quickly (even with the solar-assisted charging) so we recommend using this
funconality sparingly. Please pay very close aenon to your amp meter if you are running a 120v appliance via the invertor;
try plugging each appliance in separately to check its amperage draw to help you beer understand and manage your power
supply. Please note that the A/C system requires 120v shore power to run. You cannot run the A/C system oof your baeries
as it WILL DRAIN YOUR BATTERIES in a very short period of me. For more informaon on using youre A/C system please see
the A/C secon of this manual. There are no other 120v appliances or systems built into the OP15 as standard.
12 Volt Baery Power
The OP15 has three 100ah deep cycle marine baeries installed as well as a fully automac
baery charge controller. You will need to charge your baeries for at least 24hrs prior to each
trip using a 120volt shore power connecon to ensure that they are fully charged. The main
control panel has a baery volt-meter that will provide an indicaon of the charge level of your
baeries. A fully charged baery bank will be indicated by a full baery symbol and the voltmeter
reading around 13.7volts . If you are at a campsite with shore power then we recommend
connecng for the duraon of your stay to keep your baeries fully charged. If you are camping
o-site without 120volt power then the length of me that your baeries will last will depend on
how much 12volt energy you use, how much solar power you are generang to recharge the baeries (see below Solar Power
Secon), the healthor condion of your baeries and in some cases the ambient temperature. Your control panel will show
you how much power you are using and how much remaining power is in your baeries to help you manage your power
consumpon.
