The WAP-VKIT does not come with a DC power supply. For ease of connection and setup, the
VKIT comes with a provided PoE switch to power and connect the WAP-W5Ns. DO NOT try to
use any power supply not provided by Pakedge, as permanent damage to the WAP-VKIT may
occur.
2. Understanding the Hardware
2.1. CTL-W5N Controller
1. Console Port – For use with a serial to RJ45 cable connected to a terminal such as Putty
2. USB Port – Unused, for loading firmware via Meru USB Software
3. G1 Port – Internet connectivity
4. G2 Port – Unused, backup port for internet connectivity
