Renumbering
Function
This
VTR
has
a
renumbering
function
that
can
automatically
change
index
and
address
signals
to
address
signals
with
serial
numbers
starting
with
any
desired
number.
Example:
Renumbering
index
and
address
signals
starting
with
the
address
signal
“1964”
to
address
signals
starting
with
the
number
“1900”.

Locate
the
position
where
you
want
to
start
the
renumber-
ing
function.
Select
the
address
signal
“1964”
and
locate
it.
2.
Press
the
REW
Button
and
rewind
the
tape
from
the
“1964”
position
for
2~3
seconds.
3.
Put the
VTR
in
the
still
playback
mode.
4.
Press
the
SCREEN
DISPLAY
Button,
then
the
SHIFT
Button
twice
to
display
the
VASS
renumbering
menu.

Note:
The
displayed
address
signal
is
the
same
as
the
VASS
WRITE
menu.
5.
Press
the
DOWN
Button.
“1964”
will
light
up.
Input
“1900”
with
the
DATA
and
the
SHIFT
Buttons.
6.
Press
the
WRITE/ERASE
Button.
The
VTR
will
start
the
renumbering
function
with
the
displayed
address
signal
as
the
renumbering
start
address
signal.
Notes:
®To
abort
the
renumbering
function
midway,
press
the
Stop
Button.
When
the
tape
reaches
the
end,
the
tape
will
automatically
follow
the
preset
tape
end
mode
(ON-SCREEN
mode).

When
the
Renumbering
Starts
The
tape
will
automatically
be
fast-forwarded
and
the
signals
will
automatically
be
changed
to
address
signals.
While
the
signals
are
being
changed
to
address
signals,
no
other
operation
can
e
performed
and
the
sound
from
the
normal
(mono)
sound
track
will
be
muted.
To
Start
Renumbering
from
the
Beginning
of
the
Tape
Put
the
VTR
at
the
beginning
of
the
tape
in
the
still
playback
mode,
and
perform
the
operation
steps
4~5.
