Deleting
Address
Signals
It
is
possible
to
delete
unnecessary
address
signals.
Locate
an
address
signal
you
want
to
delete
and
press
the
WRITE/ERASE
Button.
Example:
When
deleting
the
address
signal
“1964”.
1.
Follow
the
operations
1~5
of
“VASS
SEARCH
PAUSE
mode”.
1)
Light
the
VASS
mode
indicator
by
the
MODE
Button
and
the
“—-I<”
indicator
by
the
SEARCH
Button
in
the
tape
counter.
When
the
Menu
display
remains
on
the
screen,
this
step
cannot
be
activated.
Clear
the
Menu
display
by
pressing
the
Screen
Display
Button.

Use
the
DATA
and
SHIFT
Buttons
and
display
“1964”
in
the
tape
counter.
AUDIO
LIMITER
DOLBY
NR
TIME
CODE
SERVO
LOCK
3)
Press
the
REW
or
FF
Button
and
put
the
VTR
in
the
pause
still
mode
at
the
desired
address
signal.
2.
Press
the
WRITE/ERASE
Button.
The
VTR
will
go
into
playback
mode
and
deleting
starts.
When
the
WRITE/ERASE
Button
is
Pressed
Playback
starts.
When
the
signal
to
be
deleted
is
reached,
the
VASS
mode
indicator
starts
flashing.
While
this
indicator
is
flashing
(for
about
15
seconds),
the
deleting
operation
is
being
performed.
When
the
deleting
is
completed,
the
normal
playback
con-
tinues.
eWhile
the
VASS
mode
indicator
is
flashing,
no other
operation
can
be
performed,
and
the
sound
from
the
normal
(mono)
sound
track
will
be
muted.
When
the
WRITE/ERASE
Button
is
Kept
Pressed
While
the
WRITE/ERASE
Button
is
kept
pressed,
the
VASS
mode
address
indicator
is
flashing,
indicating
the
next
signal
can
now
be
deleted.
