eVASS SEARCH PAUSE mode
1. Press the MODE Button to light the VASS mode indicator in
the tape counter.
Pres the SEARCH Button to light the “+ I <4” indicator in
the tape counter.

When the Menu display remains on the screen, this step
cannot be activated. Clear the Menu display by pressing
the Screen Display Button.
. Use the DATA and SHIFT Buttons to select the desired
address.
. When setting is completed, press the SHIFT Button.
. Press the REW or FF Button to start the VHS Address
Search function.
When the preset address signal is reached, the VTR will go
into pause still mode.
The counter will indicate “0000” and each time an address
signal is found, its number will be displayed.
To abort the VHS Address Search function midway, press
the SEARCH Button and light off the “ I<” indicator.
When the VHS Address Search Function is Operated
from the Still Playback Mode.
The VTR will stop the tape in the still playback mode
when the designated tape position is reached.
To Change the Number of an Address
If You Want to Know the Number of an
Address Signal Recorded on the Tape
Press the PLAY, FF or REW Button during VASS mode.
Each time an address signal is found, its number will be
displayed in the tape counter.
When the Preset Address Signal is not
Found
When the tape reaches its end during fast forward, the VTR
will rewind to its beginning if you set the TAPE END MODE
Selector (ON-SCREEN mode) to “REW"”.

. Follow the steps 1~5 of “VASS SEARCH PAUSE mode”
and set the VTR into pause still mode at the address signal
which you desire to change.

3. Press the SCREEN DISPLAY Button.
4. Press the SHIFT Button and display the VASS WRITE
menu.
5. Press the DOWN Button so that the digit will flash.

6. Input the desired new number with the DATA and SHIFT
Buttons.

7. Press the WRITE/ERASE Button. The VASS mode indica-
tor will flash.
The VTR will go into playback mode and renumbering
Starts.
eThe VASS mode indicator will stop flashing after about 15
seconds and the VTR will go into playback mode when the
number is changed. The sound from the normal (mono)
sound track will be muted.
