Roast Beef

Ingredients:
2 kg roast beef 2 kg
seasoned flour
Method:
Place beef on the low rack with a dish underneath,
to catch drips. Sprinkle beef with seasoned flour.
To Cook by Combination:
Cook on Combination 5 for 40 to 45 minutes, for a
medium result. Stand covered for 10 minutes before
carving.

Corned Beef
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1.5 to 1.7 kg corned silverside 1,5 to 1,7 kg
1 tablespoon brown sugar 15 ml
1 tablespoon white vinegar 15 ml
1 onion, cut in half 1

6 peppercorns 6
1 bay leaf 1
3 cup water 750 ml
Method:
Rinse corned silverside under cold running water to
remove excess salt. Place corned silverside in a 4-
litre casserole dish. Add remaining ingredients.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 10 minutes. Turn meat,
cover and cook on MEDIUM for 1

hours.
Stand corned silverside in cooking liquid for 10
minutes before carving.
Note:
Depending on the shape of the silverside, it may
require for a further 10 to 15 minutes on
MEDIUM-LOW.

Yorkshire Pudding
Serves: 6 to 8
Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour 250 ml
pinch of salt

Method:
Sift flour and salt into a bowl. Break egg into flour
and gradually add milk, stirring constantly until
smooth. Set aside covered for 1 hour.
To Cook by Convection:
Preheat oven to 220˚C. Brush twelve 7 x 3 cm
muffin tins with oil, and place into oven for 2 to
3 minutes to heat oil. Remove tins and pour in batter
until tins are half full. Cook on 220˚C for 15 to
20 minutes or until golden. Serve with roast beef.
Curried Beef Loaf
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
400 g minced beef 400 g
salt and freshly ground
black pepper
2 tablespoon curry powder 10 ml
2 tablespoon mango chutney 30 ml
1 tablespoon onion, peeled and 1
finely chopped
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs 250 ml
1 egg, beaten 1
Method:
Mix the mince with seasonings, carry powder,
chutney, onion and breadcrumbs and bind together
with the egg. Turn into a well greased 500 g loaf tin
and press down. Cook on Combination 1 for 35 to
40 minutes.

French Onion Beef Casserole
Serves: 4 to 6
Ingredients:
1 chopped onion 1
1 teaspoon mixed dried herbs 5 ml
200 g diced potatoes 200 g
500 g chopped chuck steak 500 g
40 g packet French onion 40 g

cup tomato paste 85 ml
2 cup beef stock 500 ml
Method:
In a 3-litre dish place onion, herbs, and potatoes.
Set HIGH for 4 minutes. Add steak, soup mix,
tomato paste, and beef stock. Cover. Cook on
COMBINATION 1 for 15 minutes. Stir. Cook on
COMBINATION 1 for 15 minutes. Stir. Cook on
COMBINATION 1 for 15 minutes.
