Answering Calls
When a call is received, the unit rings and the CALLER ID indicator on
the base unit flashes quickly. If you subscribe to a Caller ID service, the
calling party information will be displayed after the first ring (p. 38).
In order to view the Caller ID information, please wait until the second ring
to answer a call.
With the Handset s
If the handset is off the base unit; ——
Press E).
©You can also answer a cal! by pressing any dialing
button ©to (9).® or® (—Any Key Talk).
Microphone
Press fn£~] , and when the other party answers,
talk into the microphone.
Auto Talk
If you set the Auto Talk feature to ON
(p. 20), you can answer a call by lifting the
handset off the base unit without pressing
(3 or
CALLER ID Indicator
When an optional headset is connected (p. 18), make sure to use
the headset to talk with the caller. If you want to have a normal
cordless phone conversation, disconnect the headset.
With the Base Unit

Press (SP-PHONE) .
•The SP-PHONE indicator lights.
Talk into the MIC.
To hang up, press
(SP-PHONE 1 .
•The indicator light goes out.
