• When using the Extended Optical zoom, the zooming action will stop temporarily. This is not a
malfunction.
• When you perform an operation after taking a certain action, the pictures may be recorded in
folders with different numbers from the ones used prior to the operation. (P98)
• If the battery was inserted or removed without first turning the camera’s power off, the folder
and file numbers for the pictures taken will not be stored in the memory. When the power is
then turned back on and pictures are taken, they may be stored under file numbers which
should have been assigned to previous pictures.
• Check the clock (P17) and birthday settings (P56).
• The lens barrel retracts about 15 seconds after switching from [REC] Mode to [PLAYBACK]
Mode.
• This is the [AUTO DEMO] which introduces the features of the camera. Press a button to return
the camera to the original screen.
• This camera uses the AF function when taking pictures.
It may make a sound when focusing on subjects etc., but this is not malfunction.
Zooming stops instantaneously.

The file numbers are recorded in ascending order.
[AGE] is not displayed correctly.
