What to do if Panasonic Stereo System display lights up in standby mode?

  If the display of your Panasonic Stereo System lights up and changes continuously while in standby mode, try the following: Turn off the demo function, turn the volume up, check the speaker connections, check and correct the speaker cords connection, set the time, read the instructions and try again. If the issue persists, switch off the unit, determine and correct the cause (such as shorted speaker wires or excessive volume), then switch it back on. If this does not fix the problem, there is a power supply problem. Consult the dealer.

  If the picture on the TV disappears or stripes appear on the screen when using your Panasonic Stereo System, and you are using an indoor antenna, change to an outdoor antenna. Also, separate the antenna wire of the TV set from the unit. The location and orientation of the antenna may be incorrect.

  If “TAKE OUT/DISC” appears on the display of your Panasonic Stereo System, it indicates a problem with the disc mechanism, possibly due to a power failure. Remove the disc from the tray, ensure there is no disc inside, and then close the tray.

  If “VBR–” is displayed instead of the remaining play time on your Panasonic Stereo System, the unit cannot display the remaining play time for variable bit rate (VBR) tracks.
