State Suggest Solutions
Black background
If the shade of the background is poor:
• If the paper has an off color shade, choose a brighter
paper.
• Check the printer’s operating environment. Operating
outside of the specied operating conditions can result
in a poor background.
• The toner cartridge may have been damaged, replace
the toner cartridge.
Uniform horizontal streaks
If uniform horizontal streaks or lines appear on the
printed page:
• The toner cartridge may have been damaged. Print
several blank pages to clean the toner cartridge. If the
problem continues, replace the toner cartridge.
• There may be toner dust left on the internal
components of the printer. If the traces appear on the
back, print several pages and the problem should
disappear.
• The xing unit may be damaged, please contact a
qualied service representative.
Skewed page
• Make sure the paper is being fed into the printer
correctly.
• Check that the type and quality of paper meet
specications.
• Make sure paper or other media is being fed into the
printer correctly and the feed guide is not too tight or too
loose.
Frizzy or wavy
• Make sure the paper is being fed into the printer
correctly.
• Check that the type and quality of paper meet
specications.
• Either high temperature or high humidity could cause
this type of defect.
• Turn the paper in the paper tray over and rotate it 180°.
Wrinkled or folded
• Make sure the paper is being fed into the printer
correctly.
• Check that the type and quality of paper meet
specications.
• Turn the paper in the paper tray over and rotate it 180°.
